Greek Island Holidays for Brits by Archaeologous
Greece loves tourists and since Britain is the second most important market for Greece it’s great news that the Britain’s Expedia and the ABTA (Assoc. of British Travel Agents) are saying that it’s going to be a banner year for vacationing in Greece.
As everyone knows, the country of Greece has been hit on the chin economically and thus, many bars, restaurants, hotels etc. are much more affordable now, so the smart tourists are coming for the great buys and the gorgeous weather. Bookings are revving up already.
The report, put out by the ABTA, with it’s combined 1200 travel agents, says that the most popular islands for the British market are Corfu, Rhodes, Crete and Zakynthos. This year other ‘authentic' Greek island holidays in places like Skopelos, Alonissos and Thasos were mentioned. Of course touring Santorini, with it’s lure of the most magnificent sunsets, Cycladic whitewashed architecture and divine views is always a favorite choice of cruisers.
The Brits apparently like to stick to their ‘favored’ places so that means we here in Greece and Turkey along with France, Italy Spain and Tunisia will benefit.
So if you are making plans for a Greek Island Holiday, a Mediterranean cruise, or a multi-day vacation in Turkey and/or Greece, then we can assist you here at Archaeologous.com with our experience.
