Kalo Mina--Good First of the Month by Archaeologous
Try this whether you are a Greek Vacationer or a new resident and want to learn a little Greek. A wonderful tradition held here in Greece is that on the first day of each and every month, year in and year out, everyone says 'Kalo Mina' (Good Month) to each person you meet.
It's a heart warming tradition spoken by the children, elderly, neighbors, and strangers. Don't know about you all, but I feel good having a nice wish given to me repeatedly throughout the day...
