OVERVIEW: The Athens and Corinth Deluxe Historical Day Tour
starts with a beautiful scenic lakeside ride between Athens and the
amazing historic Corinth area where you'll see/visit an "engineering marvel", the
Corinth Canal, (2,000 years in the making), the Ancient Corinth Museum and Ancient Corinth. Following this, we begin the trek back to the "crowning jewel of Athens", the Acropolis, and a city highlights drive-a-round.

HIGHLIGHTS: 8 hour private guided (if chosen) tour. A stop for photos at the engineering feat of the Corinth Canal. A total of 90 minutes to reach the furthest destination which is Ancient Corinth and the Corinth Museum. Here, you have free time to explore the many artifacts and treasures showing the wealth and history of the ancient city. You will visit the 6th century BC Doric Temple of Apollo, one of Corinth's major landmarks, as well as the remains of a Roman city, the Agora (market place), the Theater, and the Odeum. There is time for a Mediterranean lunch before we finalize this great day of legendary history with a visit to Athens' pride and glory, the Acropolis and the Parthenon. Here, you will see the Temple of Athena, the Temple of Nike, and the Erechtheion.
You'll see city highlights of Hadrian's Arch, the Temple of Olympic Zeus, Parliament Bldg as you are returned to your original starting point.
FYI: The prosperous ancient city of Corinth and it's grand history of habitation from was founded as the capital of Rome in 44 BC by Julius Caesar. It's central location made it a leading economic and political center.
