HIGHLIGHTS: From the Port of Kusadasi we go to the 8,000 yr old  religiously important historical city of Ephesus. Here we see: (Library of Celcius, Temple of Emperor Hadrian, the Agora where shop owners rioted against Apostle Paul and the Grand theatre where he preached to capacity crowds of 25,000, the Temple of Trajan and more). Also, we visit the Basilica of St John, identified as the apostle, prophet, miracle worker, evangelist, and author of the Fourth Gospel and Revelations. Lunch is at the shady outdoor organic Hali Village with an interesting tour of from cocoon to Turkish carpet art. The lovely hilltop drive to the House of Mother Mary is the finale. This sanctuary has been visited by two Popes, as the house has been recognized, by the Vatican, as the final resting place of the Virgin Mary.

FYI: As Apostle Paul mentioned in his letter to the Corinthians; Cor 16:9, he felt there was a door of opportunity in Ephesus due to the many opponents to Christianity.  It is written in the Gospel of John (19:26-27), “When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, ‘Woman, behold, your son". Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother," and  from that hour the disciple took her into his home."  This is how Mother Mary was brought to Ephesus by John.
